Low-Density Polyethylene Sheet Manufacturing at Jiaxing Xinsen
Jiaxing Xinsen Plastic Co., Ltd. is an LDPE Sheet manufacturer based in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, producing low-density polyethylene sheet within a broader PP and PE sheet programme that also covers HDPE, PPH, ABS, PVC and EVA panels. The plant has operated since October 2001 and runs four energy-saving production lines with a technical team drawn from the plastic sheet industry. LDPE production is handled in-house, including the resin formulation, extrusion, surface treatment and finishing of the sheet we ship.
The LDPE range is built for flexibility rather than structural load: soft, impact-tolerant sheet used to line non-pressure tanks and containers, form medical device components, and fabricate parts that must be cut, folded or formed into shape. It sits alongside our rigid HDPE Sheets for applications where stiffness, higher service temperature or long-term outdoor exposure decide the material choice.
Scope of this family: monocolor and natural LDPE sheet, produced to drawing or sample, in the thickness and sheet format agreed for the application. Multi-layer colour builds, textured surfaces and cut-to-size formats are available across the wider PE Sheet programme.
Our LDPE Sheet Range
Two product formats cover most incoming enquiries for this material. Both are made on our own lines to the order specification, so colour, thickness and surface condition are set at the quotation stage rather than taken from a fixed stock list.
LDPE Monocolor Sheet
Pigmented to a single uniform colour through the sheet. Used for linings, covers, fabricated panels and components where the finished part needs a consistent visual surface that hides media staining and matches an existing colour reference.
Unpigmented, translucent-to-milky sheet without added colourants. Specified where the base resin properties matter more than appearance, and for non-toxic, food-contact-oriented and medical component work where additive content is kept to the irreducible minimum.
Where LDPE Sheet Fits
- Non-pressure container and tank lining — chemical media protection for small tanks, vessels and containers where the sheet acts as a barrier rather than a load-bearing wall.
- Medical device components — housings, covers and formed parts that rely on the material's non-toxic, low-odour behaviour and easy cutting and forming.
- Flexible fabricated parts — parts that bend, fold or absorb impact, where the softness of LDPE prevents cracking under handling and installation.
- Industrial and marine equipment — the wider PE and PP sheet range serves outdoor amusement structures, outdoor furniture, industrial buckets, water and aquaculture tanks, marine components, power engineering concealed facilities and medical equipment.
Material Behaviour and Selection Variables
The branched molecular structure that makes LDPE flexible also defines its limits. Density sits in the 0.910–0.925 g/cm³ band, elongation at break commonly reaches 300–600 %, and continuous service temperature is generally held to about 80 °C. Chemical resistance is good against many aqueous and inorganic media, but the open structure is more permeable to organic solvents and oils than HDPE, so the media list decides whether LDPE or a denser PE grade is the correct lining material.

Configuration Options We Produce
Customised production is the core of our LDPE business. We develop and manufacture from the drawing or sample you provide, and the sheet specification is fixed against that reference before the run is scheduled.
- Colour — natural unpigmented sheet or a matched monocolor; two-colour and three-colour layer builds available across the PE range.
- Surface — smooth, orange peel or frosted finishes, with single-sided and double-sided texture where the application calls for grip or reduced glare.
- Structure — single-layer sheet or three-layer co-extrusion, which allows a different surface or property on each face.
- Format — thickness and sheet dimensions set to the drawing, with cut-to-size supply for downstream forming, welding or lining work.
- Sampling — drawing-based processing and sample production so the sheet can be trialled in the real fixture before volume supply.
Fabrication, Installation and Service Conditions
LDPE is easy to cut, drill, rout and hot-air weld, but its softness and thermal movement need attention at the fixing stage. We recommend full backing support for lining panels, slotted or oversized fixing holes to allow expansion, and generous edge clearance where the sheet meets sharp metal details. Lining seams should be welded rather than mechanically clamped where media contact is continuous.
- Confirm the chemical media, concentration and contact temperature before finalising a lining specification.
- Keep continuous service temperature within the LDPE band; switch to HDPE or PPH where the process runs hotter or under pressure.
- Allow the sheet to reach ambient temperature before cutting or welding so that dimensional take-off matches the drawing.
- Protect the finished surface during installation; LDPE marks more readily than rigid PE sheet.
Quality Control and Acceptance
We operate full-process quality management: inspection follows each production stage, and finished sheet is inspected 100 % against the customer's requirements and the applicable international standard before packing. Our testing equipment and sample room support colour, surface and dimensional verification against the approved reference.
- Length and width measured against the order drawing.
- Thickness checked at the agreed measurement points across the sheet.
- Colour and surface finish verified against the approved sample or colour reference.
- Flatness, edge condition and freedom from visible defects checked on the finished panel.
- Packing and identification checked before the consignment leaves the plant.

Capacity, Logistics and Documentation
Our Jiaxing plant covers about 10 acres with four modern, energy-saving production lines and an annual output above 20,000 tons. The site sits in the Yangtze River Delta at the intersection of Shanghai, Hangzhou and Suzhou, within roughly two hours' drive of both Shanghai Port and Ningbo Port, so sea freight is our standard shipping route and air freight through Ningbo or Shanghai can be arranged when a schedule demands it. Sheet is packed to suit the format and destination, and identification follows the order reference.
Orders are supported with the drawing, colour and inspection record that apply to the batch. Our products are exported to North America, South America, Europe, Southeast Asia, Southern Africa and other regions, and enquiries are answered within 12 hours on working days.
Frequently Asked Questions
What LDPE sheet products does Jiaxing Xinsen manufacture?
We produce LDPE monocolor sheet and natural LDPE sheet, both made to order on our own extrusion lines. Colour, surface finish, thickness and sheet format are set from the drawing or sample supplied with the enquiry.
Can you produce LDPE sheet to our drawing or a physical sample?
Yes. Customised production is our core business, and we develop and manufacture from the drawings or samples customers provide. We also support sample production so a trial sheet can be checked in the actual fixture before volume supply.
What thickness and sheet dimensions can you supply?
LDPE sheet is produced to the order specification, so the thickness, sheet size and tolerance are stated in the quotation for the agreed grade and finish. Send the application detail or drawing and we will confirm the dimensions and tolerances we can hold.
Is LDPE sheet suitable for tank and container lining?
For non-pressure vessels and containers it works well, provided the media list is checked first. LDPE handles many aqueous and inorganic media but is more permeable to organic solvents and oils than HDPE, so for aggressive chemicals we would normally propose a denser PE grade from the same PE sheet range.
How is quality verified before shipment?
We apply full-process quality management with inspection after each production stage, and finished sheet is inspected 100 % against customer requirements and international standards. Dimensional, colour, surface and packing checks are recorded before the consignment is released.
How are LDPE sheet orders packed and shipped?
Packing is agreed with the order to suit the sheet format and route. Our plant is within about two hours of Shanghai Port and Ningbo Port, so sea freight is the usual method, with air freight through Ningbo or Shanghai arranged when a delivery is urgent. Trade terms and payment arrangements are confirmed at the quotation stage.
